What are the standard bodywork features of a Clio Dynamique 03

I had a bump with another car almost a month ago now, and im currently getting my car repaired. The car is a 2003 clio dynamique 3door. Basically, they have told me, they can't find the right bumper to go on the car, because it had a different one on at another time, and apparently also my car has been modified, which I was unaware of! The original bumper was pretty standard looking but the moulding was the same colour as the rest of the car, so there was no black plastic on it, is this standard ? Also i have wolfrace alloys, which i thought were standard with the car, but i don't know anymore? and i also have low profile tyres, are these standard. Because apparently the wings have been modified and all sorts. And im confused about how the car actually comes as standard. So if anyone could help, i'd be really grateful!

Re: What are the standard bodywork features of a Clio Dynamique 03

Hi there and welcome.

To be honest, Clios are very popular with the younger driver, and so tend to get modified more often.

Changing the colour of the plastic trim, is a cheap way to personalise your car.

Because the wings are plastic, then again - they can be cut away, to allow for larger wheels & tyres, or a suspension drop.

Here is a pic of one I'd believe to be 'standard' - the insurance won't pay for parts to be customised, unless it was declared on the insurance form.

It may be the case that the repairer can paint these items to your spec - but since the insurance won't be paying him to do it (and he won't work for free), it'll be you, who'll have to stump up, and perhaps sue the guilty party for the additional cost (if they won't pay voluntarily).

It might be best to speak with your insurer's legal department to clarify that.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
