If it has a sunroof, check the headliner and footwells for any signs of dampness this is a common problem with the clios and can often be overlooked.
Check out the engine bay, you will be able to spot any obvious
leaks, check rocker cover area etc etc.
While your under there do the usual coolant check, make sure its clean and no signs of "Mayo" type sludge.
filler cap off and check under there for the same sludge.
Another thing to check is on the interior again, any stains e.g spilt drinks/food/smoke/burns is usualy a good sign of how well a cars looked after. Generaly tatty interiors often reflect the way the mechanical sides been treated.
