Renault Scenic - Carbon Filter Brackets Commonly Corroding

Hi just walking back to the car and noticed a thing dangling down from under the drivers side inner wing. Had a look and it was a black plastic box with two air pipes going into with a wiring connector on top. It was fastened to the inner wing by way of a bracket (totally corroded) and the box sat on a rubber sleeve over this bracket. Got it home by cable tieing it to various bits of pipework and inner wing !.
My questions are what is the box (12 inches tall by 3 inches square) and could I get a new bracket or will I ave to make one. Can I drive it whilst in this state ?.
Thanks in advance.
