Help with replacing manifold gasket Renault Trafic camper mk1 1.7

Hello folks, just looking for a bit of guidance on how to replace the manifold gasket on my 1991 Renault Trafic mk1 1.7 camper, when she is started can see some fumes coming out by the manifold gasket area, so take it the gasket probably needs changing, it seems quite difficult to access it due to the angle the engine lies at, just a bit of guidance be a great help. Many thanks in advance.

Before you get the spanners out, track down where the fumes are coming from.

Intake manifolds suck so I would not expect fumes from a leaky gasket.
I would expect rough running and lack of power, possibly starting issues.

Fumes are more likely from exhaust manifold but would usually chuff or hiss.

Oil leak from rocker box possibly ??

Also fuel pump ... mine was weeping and the oil dripped straight onto the manifold causing it to smoke when hot. Lovely smell though like 2-stroke

Thanks come to think of it there is a small oil leak near the front of the rocker cover so perhaps the gasket needs changing, will check the manifold again for possible leaks in the manifold itself.
