Great to see you've got the inspiration to rebuild your Renault.
Just a couple of points though, and please don't take me wrong on these, 'cause what you are doing is great.
Honing of the cylinder bores does not do what you say. What it does do is provide a rough surface to allow the NEW piston rings to bed in.
I'm not sure what you're final engine is expected to be. If you are just rebuilding the engine to be a standard engine, as before, then you are going to great lengths with machining and balancing which will not make any significant difference on a standard engine.
If you are planning to take it to a stage 1 or stage 2 performance conversion, then what you are doing is fine, but you need to be thinking about cylinder head modifications, different camshafts, exhaust manifold mod's and various other things.
Don't spend lot's of time and money unnecessarily.
