Electric window regulator

I just fitted a drivers door electric window regulator to my mates 2003 Laguna today - was able to buy a new one locally (not Renault but made in Italy - supplied with no motor) for 65 all in. He had sought a quote from a local Renault dealer who quoted 220 for a new regulator (it did come with a new motor) and they wanted 2 hours labour at 60 per hour making a total of 340. I have never had to do one before but was able to do it about one hour and I also stripped the passenger door and give it a blast of spray grease. I normally don't charge friends for labour (maybe get a few beers) but he gave me 30 for my trouble and I was well chuffed but not as much as he was.
I also discovered that the regulator was not the original and he bought the car when it was just two weeks over a year old - looks like Renault have been sourcing poor quality or it's just poor design. The local guy I bought the regulator from purchased a bulk order of 120 of them a year ago and he is down to his last 10 - but he would divulge his source.
