Thanks Horatio. There's not actually that much of a difference between them now, about 8 miles actually, so the gap has decreased since I last filled up which would make sense I suppose.

I'm inclined to believe the main display though because when I bought the car and picked it up, the bloke told me he hadn't put any juice in it for me (and why should he have ) and it was showing 2 miles left to refuel and it got me to the nearest forecourt, which was 1.5 miles away. Based on this, I can assume, if there is any difference between what it states and what there actually is, then it would understate the amount left
