You're doing well if you're getting an extimated range with only 2 miles left in the tank. Both of my RXE's used to revert to dashes on the range display as soon as the low fuel warning came on. Generally speaking, that meant 40+ miles left in the tank.

Just bear in mind that the fuel remaining is based on a bog-standard float mechanism, which is hardly the most accurate measuring device in the world. If my RXE's went onto low fuel with 40miles still showing, I'd often take them to 30+ and get away with it. But one time I tried it, I ran out of fuel at around the 20 mile mark. As the old saying goes: Your mileage may vary.
