Only joking. You don't say ehat age the car is. Ideally it needs special treatment. First thing to do is have it treated to kill off what mould (fungus) has gathered without causing damage to the fabric. If not treated it will only return. Once treated in can then be gently cleaned and then treated with a waterproofing mould inhibitor. There are special cleaners which can be bought on line but ideally you need to be experienced otherwise you risk damge or dterioration of the fabric. Do not use household cleaners mopst are too aggressive.
It may be worth finding if there is a company in your local area who can do the job for you.
Now I remember why I never bought a rag-top plus they are cold and damp in Winter and they need either a garage of car-port for storage. Borrowed a MG "B" for a week one summer - that was enough.
