Yeah makes you wonder mm, A similar incident happened to me a few years ago with a car I had serviced by a main dealer who has a huge network across the UK, service had not being carried out properly no change of oil filter and other bits and pieces, Book stamped box's ticked .

I always check the car prior to Service and before leaving the premises.

I raised the matter with them and trading standards etc I received a substantial payment in compensation, Said I had no confidence in the car and was worried about the consequences of the relevant safety checks not being carried out etc, They were never prosecuted much to my dismay when it was a clear cut case.

I notified the relevant Manufacturer and never received a reply ?
