hi, can I add my few pennies worth ? If you look at the front grill, can you not depress the lugs holding in one of the inserts and push it in enough to get a hand in to pull bonnet cable. Just looked at them on eBay and appear to have two lugs on one edge and a few more on the other. Even if you break the grill insert I'm sure as they are under a tenner it would be cheaper (not looked at glass price) as well as probably less hassle than to replace than a window.
H & S warning ! You might still cut a finger as the plastic edges may be sharp so wear gloves ! LOL
