Renault 19 1.4e starting problem
My old !988 but otherwise trusty Renault 19 has just started behaving badly. It won't start without extra help. There's a good strong spark and new points and plugs. It will start with a short squirt of damp start into the carb., but that's not a proper solution. It seems to be the fuel injection. Is there such a thing as a low speed jet in this sort of carburretor and could it be blocked - I did almost run out of petrol recently so perhaps sludge in the tank has landed in a sensitive spot? Or perhaps it's the automatic choke? Or maybe there's an electronic blip somewhere?
Any advice from someone who knows about this sort of thing is much appreciated.
