If the fixed glass is held with a rubber seal rather than glued, it should be able to withstand some twaking.

After all, it didn't break when he bent the frame out.

If you hold low down at the front of the frame and push at top rear, it should twist the frame to make the top rear close tighter on the seal.

Have you got the energy for that.
