Hello and welcome to the forum.
I suspect the rubber seal has been diplaced and this is causing the leak.
The bottle is fairly easy to remove,but you'll have to move the wiper linkage out of the way.Sit in the car with the wipers on and when the wipers point straight up,switch the ignition off.This will stop the mechanism in a place that gives you more room to get the bottle out.I can't remember what holds the bottle in,but if you have the pump out already it should mean that the trim accross the top of it has been removed.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
