Yeh I notice Kitcars second post refers to huge holes and flood - I was just wondering what was meant by huge holes. Yeh the AA site doesn't give much info., regarding any comeback - and I also notice there are two levels of inspection where the basic level seems to concentrate on safety and the higher level check mentions bodywork condition. I suppose they could argue that a leak into the car was not an inherent safety risk at the time of the inspection. Maybe a bit like an MOT test when the car meets a specific standard at the time of the test but is no guarantee of what things will be like 20 minutes later. Additionally vehicle tests are not designed to reflect the quality or value of the vehicle concerned.
