a cheap way to service a car yourself is to:- after an MOT, which you gotta have anyway, go to a kwik fit/tyre place and get an
and filter change-it costs about £30, they get dirty and dispose of the
for you, time you buy
and a filter its gonna be nearly £20 anyway, then buy plugs and air filter and replace them yourself-only take you about 30 mins. And as it had an MOT, the car was fully checked over like on a service with the bonus of 12 months ticket.
some garages will stamp your service book with an
service stamp and you can staple the receipts for plugs and filter to it, maintaining its history.
