uch damp

Just had a similar problem with my 52 Laguna Initiale Estate. Unlock the doors with either card (i have 2) no problem, insert the card into the reader and message 'insert card' remains with immobiliser light staying lit. All lights, radio, sat nav, windows still work but engine will not start.

Had the car recovered to Renault and after the usual 85 diagnostics plus a few hours labour charge checking the wiring, still no fault 'found'.

Told them there had been water ingress around the fusebox, so they change the fusebox - still no fix.

They decide to change the uch but then say I need new key cards (x2) at 65 each. 3 week delivery time for the keycards and finally the car starts.

1 hefty bill and 1 month later and I'm back on the road.
