First off you need to remove the screws, handles, speaker grills etc. once you are sure all the screws are removed, pull off the door lining. You need to use a lot of force to shift this (I broke four of the push fit studs that hold it on). The external door handle had to be removed (very tricky), and the latch unbolted, cable removed and new part fitted in reverse. It was an absolute pig of a job, perhaps a mechanic would find it easy but as I stated earlier in this thread, I have another that needs replacing and I am going to pay someone to do this. I changed the driver's door and now the passenger one has failed.

There is possibly an easier method than the one I used, I believe Renault have a specialist tool so they do not break the studs. I would guess this took me approx, two hours.

Hope this helps, good luck
