According to Tesco car insurance (who the girl who hit me is with), I'll be able to claim back the hire charges for the Passat. I'm going to ring later this morning. Failing that my insurance said they would sort it out. Im not too bothered if I dont get the cash back, its only £80 for the 4 days I need it (to get my to Inverness and back) and the Mrs said she'd pay half if need be.

To be honest Tesco have been good about it, they even offered to sort out my claim..... no chance I said.... not sure if that was a wise move though.

The cars already at a repairers, its one of the Insurers approved repairs - I did ask for it to go to a Renault garage, but was told I wouldnt be eligible for a courtesy car. Its gone to Evans Halshaw a main dealer for Hyundai, the seemed very clued up and friendly. Dropped the car off yesterday afternoon and picked up the bubble (my new name for the C1 )

We'll see how it pans out. But the time being a have bubble that will do an acclaimed 80mpg !
