Dave, Sorry to hear of your peril but I would not be surprised if your car ends up as cat c salvage. I'm assuming its a laguna 2. The parts for Renaults are horrendously priced!! The rear panel cames in two sections to make the box section and from memory they total over 400 + vat. The bumper with supports is around 240 plus the inserts(about 110) and plus parking sensors if you have them. The stainless trim is about 70( plastic type cheaper) The front bumper is about another 240 and then you have to pull out the boot floor on a jig. I suspect the rear arches may have closed up a bit as well if you were hit at 35 mph. If the floor is creased anywhere forward of the wheel well you can be certain it will not be repaired unless the car is say between 12 to 24 months old. Even then the repair costs might exceed value. It will be cheaper to pay you out. Try and get the repairer to give you their view a s a p. At least you can start looking for a replacement car if its uneconomic to repair.
