Be very careful adding badges to your car.

If people see a 2.0 16v badge they will find it more nickable than a 1.2! If you must fit the badge tell your insurance company that you have. Otherwise if it does get nicked they may try to wriggle out of paying up if you made the car "appear more desirable" without telling them.
Also fitting body kits,bumpers etc can bump up your premium. As you are young I would stick to subtle improvements - after all none of the mods will make the car go any better.

Things like clear side repeaters, chrome exhaust trim, alloy aerial, alloy tax discs etc are cheap to replace and can improve the look of the car, done properly and not over the top. If you fit an exhaust trim make sure it is only slightly bigger than your original exhaust - fitting a big bore trim would only look stupid.
