Hi Bar, You mention that both externel temp and fuel gauge drop at the same time , it would be unusual to have both components fail at the same time , I would suspect a reference voltage problem. I think it would be good practice to replace the auxillary belt at the same time , have you had a look on GSF car parts ?. Renalt main stealers are expensive, it might be worth looking around for a reputable local garage who could do the job for a more acceptable price.
