Hi Knotty - anyone who owns a fairly young car is loathe to part with the vehicle documents, etc. - simply because it can help sell the car when the time comes. Those that come available could either be stolen or are usually from cars that have been written off. You may have success looking around the scrappers. The cost you quote doesn't sound too bad considering the wallets are made from leather and as my wife says she couldn't get a decent handbag for that price. Renault have been know to charge £10 for the drivers manual only and it is a photocopy.
