My sentiments entirely, I'm certainly no sparky but I would have thought the power supplying the dual tow bar electrics would have been protected by an independent fuse maybe an in liner, but anything rather than those protecting the car.

BTW its going back to Renault, when I ordered the tow + electrics. I specified I wanted the van indicator audio warning device fitted in the front of the car not in the boot, because it's not easy hearing it whilst on the move, well they didn't, they still fitted the damned thing, in the boot.
