Looking at it another way, the dealers are in it to make money as well as represent the manufacturers. Renault are fortunate to have some good cars for sale, but that does not give the dealers free reign to charge over the odds or give poor customer service as ultimately it reflects on the OEM and their products.
It is very easy to dwell on the bad points, and its clear from some of the posts that some people have very good relationships with their local dealers.
