Re: laguna estate 2 replacing brake discs

I have recently done all the disc on my Laguna II Sprot tourer.

The rear discs tend to come with bearings and abs ring fitted. To have existing discs skimmed costs about half the price of the new discs, so buying with bearings and abs rings works out less expensive in the long run, then it's just a 1 fo 1 change over.

The electric parking brake is selected off, by pressing the centre button and at the same time pulling the outer release. This can take several attempts as the system tries to set the parking brake on for you.

Once the wheels etc are off, then you can remove the cable end from the calliper, this fully releases the mechanism.

Tip: when you refit the discs and calliper etc, ensure you bleed the system BEFORE you reconnect the parking brake cable, otherwise there is a risk the brakes will reset uneven. Once bled, connect the cables and activate the parking brake.

You will need NEW hub nuts too. These are designed to be "once only" fittings.
