I have just bought a 2005 Jan, 1.9dCi Dynamique and for the first time had it out after dark yesterday. The headlights when on dipped and full beam seem to strike the ground very early. I have checked for headlight adjuster and there is not one where the manual says it should be (beside the dash board dimming control) do you know hoe to adjust the lights and should this model have a control for the adjustment of the headlights?
If you have Xenon headlights there is no manual adjustment control on the dashboard. Xenon lights have auto height adjustment and washer jets. If the beam on your car seems ow it could be that there is a fault with the self levelling mechanism.
Normally, if you get in the car, parked on a level surface, when you switch engine on and headlights come on you should see the "beam" self adjust ( depending on weight in car).
As you have a 2005 car is should be covered under warranty, so go back to your local dealer.
You could also get the headlight beam height checked by your local MOT garage.
Even if you have Xenons, there are still manual adjustment to be made to the actual lights themselves, from under the bonnet. If the angle is manually set wrong, the auto levelling will still be out.
