Hopefully, success in that job will inspire you to do more work.
There's great satisfaction in not having to pay someone else to fix your car.

Try and get hold of a Manual for the car and search the forum.
Youtube videos are a good source of info. Not always specific to your car, but many jobs are the same whatever the car.

If you can invest in a few tools, there's much you can achieve for yourself.
Study and take your time on jobs.

Diesels aren't my field but the rest of the car is much the same as a petrol model.
The Megane hatchback also shares many parts with the Scenic.

The 99-03 models are the last of the DIY friendly models.

Anything you're not sure about, you can always ask the forum.
Currently in lancs dave's garage:
Scenic 1.4ish 2002. Clio 1.2 2002. Thunderbird 885 1995, Suzuki Gsx600f 1989. Fazer 600 2002. Specialist cement mixer for proffessionals only, not yer average forum numpty. Your car is probably worth more than all that lot put together.
