If the encryption was increased to 128 bit - it would probably only be a matter of time before it it too is deciphered. One bit of comfort is that they need to intercept the signal first and then see if they can match it and even then it could take some time - what they don't say is how much it would cost to break the so-called codes. Could be a case of poacher turned gamekeeper - and somebody is looking for a job in the security industry
