Hi Anja, the egr valve is situated on the right side rear of the engine. If you look at your brake fluid resevoir, look left, just under where the big black pipe runs from the front to the top back of engine, you will see a tube about 2.5 inches long x 1.5 inches diameter, with an electrical terminal coming out of it, it is held on with 3 x 10mm bolts. this is the egr valve. when you try to part it from the housing it will probably break the rivets holding the 2 halves together, dont worry the bolts hold it all together on replacement. The valve won't just pull out, it has to be rotated, and sprayed with carb cleaner bit by bit, then gently wedged against the housing to pull out. once out clean with carb cleaner and a toothbrush. ensure the valve is moving freely. Next clean the inside of the housing, this was particularly gunged up on mine. Replace egr and tighten up. on restarting i reved engine for a few seconds so any muck that had gone into port cleared and it goes like a good un. hope this helps, be patient in getting it out, and good luck... Regards Don.
