I was going to show you how to access the bulbs in the estate version,but there we go!

I'd try and remove the light from the car and check the bulb/s,but I haven't ever removed one before so can't offer much in the way of help..If you manage to access the bulbs and they are OK,you need to check wether there is 12 volts getting to the light when the brakes are applied,ideally using a test light.If there is no feed,then I suspect there is a broken wire where the loom goes through into the tailgate.The constant opening and closing of the boot can break the wires......

Just one thing,does the heated rear screen still work?.If not,this will give a clue as to wether the loom is still OK.

If your anywhere near Gillingham in Dorset,I'll have a quick look at it if you like.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
