Well I now have the car home and picked up a Haynes manual as well. Reading the Haynes it would appear that I donít need this tensioning tool as mine has air-con. But mine is also different from the one referred to in the Haynes manual? According to the Haynes manual, there is an adjusting plate to move the spring-loaded tensioner. On mine there doesn't appear to be this adjustable tensioner mounting plate?

So I cant see how to release the tension before removing it. Iím reluctant to start undoing stuff in case everything goes ping!!! Hereís a piccie of what my set up looks like. If anyone can tell me how to remove it safely Iíd appreciate it.

Many thanks.
