Oh I agree, Donald - even I make the odd error, now & again (usually as a result of the sat-nav not giving me enough notice of a lane/direction change). But what twillco was complaining about, was the consequences of how such an impact would've been viewed by the insurance/police - it would've been very difficult to prove the car in front reversed into him.

What is also worrying is that someone out there is reversing without looking at all - imagine if it were a pedestrian crossing the road - rather than a large van.

Cars can(should) be fun, but the responsibility of being in charge of a device capable of sizeable destruction shouldn't be forgotten about entirely.
