Also by any chance could someone tell me if it's normal for Clio's to have a bit of a loose break pedal? Mine has to be 1 and a bit inches down before it starts to brake?

My car is a 60 plate 3dr Clio by the way in silv/beige.

Brakes should not be down that far I have the same at the mo..rear wheel auto adjusters need looking at or the shoes might be low..they gum up and the adjusters dont adjust need to get them looked at..they can be manually adjusted up to solve the problem..but a brake service might help resolve it..mechanic wont know till he has the drums off.
