It's possible that jump-starting your friend's car has pulled the voltage on your own car's system low enough to make the computers start to misbehave. They'll probably need a proper reset to get them to start acting sensibly again.
The first thing I'd try is disconnecting the battery for an hour or so and see if things have sorted themselves out after that. If they haven't then try a longer period (overnight) and see if that helps.
The only way I'd have thought you could do lasting damage would be if you accidentally reversed the polarities. Even then, it's the electrical systems on the car that's being jump-started that are likely to be damaged.
