I also notice on page 2 of the VOSA document they make mention of vehicles fitted with shorter
springs (e.g.lowered suspension) - it seems to infer that the springs must naturally naturally find their own seating unaided. Does this mean the vehicle examiner must check that the springs are capable of doing so.
Over here in Northern Ireland cars will fail if when they are jacked up or on a wheel-free ramp the springs are able to move out of their seating. Unfortunately many a boy racer has fell foul on this problem.
