Cheers Ralph. Spent some time on pistons. Chocked one, in and out with other. One was less free than other buy now OK.

Garage said wheel bearing but that was changed 450 miles ago at a dealership. It could be driveshaft as I've changed split boot but was I too late.

Brake work has reduced noise but still a whoomping sound every wheel revolution. So it's either drive shaft or bearing. Either way nothing more I can do so it's off to Spain with automotive dictionary to hand.
