Clio 2006 56 1.5 dci diesel questions
Been thinking of updating the car as my old Clio has seen better days to be honest.
Had my eye on a 2006/56 1.5 dci diesel and wanted to get an idea if these are a bad idea or maybe owners or people who've driven these can tell me more good or bad?
A member here recently has informed me the dci engines are more difficult to maintain and more expensive to repair if things do go wrong - this has me a little worried now!
At this point I can only afford about 2k and need something ideally mid-2000's age wise or newer, and 5 doors. I know there's lots of other makes out there to consider but I always liked the clios and fancied the newer shape to mine. I know it's not a big reason to go for the Clio but hey ho. I would consider other Renault cars but I wouldn't know which are better than another. For example I keep seeing the Meganes (the ones with the sticking out bums as I think of them!) around my price range but I don't know much about them like pros and cons etc.
Well if anyone can give more help and advice or even better some positives on the Clio in question. My other half says all cars will have common issues of some sorts - but last thing I want is a real no-no car which I'll regret when I had the chance to get something less troublesome!
