Repair quality varies greatly,and it depends on the age of the chip as well as the type.

I used to do windscreen repairs,and some were invisable,some not so successful.Over time moisture and dirt gets inside the chip and this can make it impossible for a decent repair to be carried out.

It is also down to the individual repairer as standards of workmanship very wildly......

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
