I agree with Davesss......the alloy type valve caps are a pain in the ar$e!.I've had to replace many complete valves as the caps seize to valve.........I know some might recommend using a little grease on the threads as this stops them seizing,but the grease will eat the rubber in the valve and you'll have problems with punctures at a later date!.
If you've got alloy valve caps,remove them and throw them in the nearest bin!.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
