Is this clio worth fixing

A mate from work bought a clio about 6 months ago, i had pointed it out to him on gumtree and it was bought for 500. His son drove it for a few months has a bit of a prang and now its a write off and ive ended up being given the thing as he doesnt want it on his driveway, this is it:

I drove it off his driveway and onto the transporter, it drove back off the transporter and into this spot, yet when i went to drive it yesterday it will not drive the gearbox just makes a whine sound i think its damaged, i also removed all of the damaged panels to see what the structure is like underneath its not too bad:

The car isnt in bad shape elsewhere, the engine is starting and runs smoothly, the radiator is ok, everything works even the hazzard light switch. But there are 120,000 miles and its been declared as a write off. Would this be worth fixing up?
