hi there ok lets start from the begining! the alternater light is on for a few minutes in the morning only! this suggests that the alternator is not delivering enough charge to put the warning light out this voltage comes from the thin wire on the alternater! it could be possible that if you have taken a feed wire straight out of the back of the alternater to the cooling fan and the fan is opperating perminantly or you have spliced back into the fan circuit wiring without cutting the circuit and the resistance fault on that line is causing the light to stay on!
firstly disconect the wiring you have put on see if this clears your fault, if it doesent then check with a volt meter the vltage that is coming out of the alternater go onto the main live on the rear of the alternater you should see 13volts plus when it is idling if you dont then you have issues with the alternater
