The Espace 4 roof bars are wider and seem to be a higher profile than the Espace 3. Reading this thread was an eye opener. I guess if air flow can get under the cargo there could be some high lifting forces (but should obviously be designed to cope with this). I have only tended to use a thule roof box on mine and occasionally in addition 1 bike carrier. Once loaded it so that it started to bend in the middle when shutting the lid (did repack once I had considered), but did,nt quite realise what risk I could be taking iff overloaded.
Once again brilliant advice on this forum - even iff it is someone elses misfortune that can help others - hope it is all sorted.
