Re: High mileage used cars - good buy or not?
The other thing I've just remembered I was going to ask - is higher mileage on a diesel car any better than a petrol? I've read diesel engines generally last longer than petrol so I wondered if a higher mileage diesel will be better engine wise than a petrol? I'm not talking about other aspects of the car which is going to be same on both fuel type engines.
Also any suggestions on mid-2000 or higher hatchback which are good buys even if they have lots of miles? I keep reading VW Golf are good but they have lots of miles so I'm guessing they do lots of motorway runs. Come to think of it there's always loads about on the motorways.
