Smile Re: Rear brake light

I have done this a few times on my 2006 Megane ST. The two screws need removing and the rear spoiler prised up, there are plastic clips holding it down. (These clips can and do brake if removed a few times). if your car has had the spoiler recall from Renault you will need to wiggle and prise off the spoiler. On both occasions I've done mine on cleaning the contacts on the light unit (they are steel and corrode easily) normal service has been resumed. If this is not the case replacement of the unit is required as it does not come apart to fix LEDs etc.
Tip - I loosen the screws then attach a piece of cotton so if they drop down into the screen frame you can extract them. The first time I did this I lost a screw down there and it rattled for months !

All best Al.
