Alize quirks

This is a great forum- I bought a 1999 1.6 Alize a couple of months back and your advice on checking the Top Dead Centre sensor was invaluable!

Now, I need your wisdom again (one day I will have some of my own, I hope)....

I vaguely remember seeing something about remote key fobs and using a compination of pressing the central locking button in the car and the one on the fob, to switch between having doors that lock themselves after an amount of time and doors that are open once they're open. Can anyone help, or have I imagined this?

Also, I know this has been posted before but am still confused- the lcd on the dash has mileage showing and an M and has a reset button and I have the trip computer button on the wiper stalk. Do I have a trip computer or not?? (If I do, then I can't get the blessed thing to work).

Cheers in advance!
