The lock mechanism itself is controlled by a circuit board which is connected to the mechanism by 4 connectors, 2 x 2 pin and 2 x 3 pin. If you open the casing up and swap the cards over you will have your original coding in the new mechanism and no recoding is needed.

One problem I found is that the guy in the breakers yard didn't realise it is a left handed thread on the securing bolt and he snapped it, meaning I I had to use a stud extractor to get it off the column, which they threw in as they couldn't get the lock off it. Also left the steering wheel and airbag too!

Do you (or anyone else) know of someone who can reprogram a UCH in the Warrington area?
