I agree with Glenda.
Thinking logically, the clock light is off with the ignition off - so is the radio.
This sounds like the ignition line is not happening to A7. Possibly, if the clock light blew, it might have taken this out too.
Another possible is that the wire for the radio or clock is shorted to chassis! Worth having the radio out, and also the clock facia if that is possible. All this with the ignition on. If the radio suddenly springs into life, you have found the problem!!
It is normal with modern radios to be able to turn them on without the ignition, and for them to auto off after a few minutes.
