Hi Madnoel10,

I don't really understand your reply. Sorry! Could you go into more detail if possible???

The spring is not pressurised. The pressure was released when it snapped. It moves freely up and down the strut but can obviously not be removed from the strut because of the large retaining rubber.

You discribed the top mount - do you mean the mount as in the metal plate accessed under the bonet that the top strut bolt slots into with a nut on? This is not broken and the nut has been removed and the strut is off the car.

Nothing on the top of the strut appears to be broken. There are no snapped parts. The top threaded bolt with a centred hex shape appears to be fine. I assume this hex shape is for an Allen key in order to hold it still or turn to in order to remove something so that the large rubber can be removed in order to remove the spring.

If you could reply I'd be really greatful.

Thank you.
