Hi it should only take about 2 hrs to press the old ball joint out and then press the new one back in and then put the car back together and them track it so i would not tend to think that you should not have anymore than 3 hrs labour and the price of the new part and having it tracked but that still does not say that he might need it all day to make his job easyer so not to give you false hopes telling you it will be ready in 3hrs and then its not,i hope this helps Donald
